We have over 300 days of sunshine a year here! However, the weather in the mountains can be unpredictable and changeable. It’s one of the things that we love about living here as it’s certainly never boring. However, it can be frustrating when you can’t bring every single thing you own! This list of suggestions should help keep you safe and comfortable on your horse riding holiday, no matter the weather.

CLOTHING
- Socks 2 or 3 pairs minimum
- Short-sleeved tops
- Underwear
- Fleece jacket/jumper
- Sunglasses
- Lightweight waterproof jacket and waterproof trousers
- Swimsuit
RIDING GEAR
- Riding/stretch trousers
- Half chaps
- Riding helmet (we can lend you a hat, if you don’t have your own)
- Comfortable riding/walking boots
- Gloves
- Buff or snood
- One great store is Zafiro Equestrian if you’re looking for new gear.
EQUIPMENT
- Water bottle
- Mobile phone charger and extra power pack
- Torch (head torch would be ideal)
TOILETRIES
FIRST AID
A comprehensive first aid kit is carried, but you’ll need your own kit for minor ailments such as diarrhoea, colds, blisters etc:-
- Blister plasters
- Talc/foot powder
- Assorted plasters
- Insect repellent
- Sting Eze/Tiger balm
- Aspirin/ibuprofen/ibrufen gel
- Antiseptic cream
- Laxatives
- Imodium
- Sudocrem for saddle sore!
- Dioralite sachets
